It’s that time of the year when Aarhus’ beach isn’t just covered by beautiful women, but as well as with an amazingly interesting combination of multimedia productions, glass, trash, plastic, metal and even soap, resulting in extremely creative displays of art with which you may interact i.e. Sculpture by the sea 2013.
The exhibition is free for everyone to enjoy and located both on the beach line and forest from Tangkrogen till Ballehage. Don’t forget to check out the indoor exhibition at Helnan Marselis Hotel (Strandvejen 25).
On the opening day there were kiosks positioned strategically around the place where the exhibitions were installed, selling catalogues describing the art piece, something about the author and where to find it (some are really well hidden or have to be seen from a specific angle), which costs kr. 50. If that seems too expensive, you are most welcome to explore the area and come back several times. Little hint: there are 64 sculptures out in the open and 100 small sculptures at “Sculpture Inside”.
So, don’t delay – go outside, soak up some vitamin D and enjoy some culture.
