-”A Riveting, dark twisted performance, brilliantly told with a touch of cabaret!”- Aarhusblog.
Today, I watched the pre-premier performance of the anticipated, A Wolf River tale at Ambassaden Theater….Its a mouthwatering, twisted, needle piercing and gut wrenching performance.
By Tendai Tagarira.
Up the stairs, with my beer in hand,
little blue lights lead the way.
And behold a stage;
A Wolf River tale!
Madness! one is tempted to think!
as the raving mad riddler tells his tale
with voodoo dolls and candles,
narrating the untold fate,
of the misfit residents
of A Wolf River tale!
All was well on the river banks,
until a stranger arrives
And so the stage becomes,
a mirror…..
of dark and sinister creatures
a seductive cabaret dancer,
a needle swallowing butcher
a trumpet playing monkey
and Matilda!!
And so fate unveils, in a dark twisted mist
of dancing beauty and devil’s kiss
For beauty is a curse cherished by men,
and so the devil coverts it
promising fame and fortune
But Ohh! the devils price is too high !
Even for the needle swallowing butcher
And Poor Matilda…..
No one pitted the monkey,
as all took part in it’s humiliation
But ignorance is bliss for a monkey,
as long as he gets a banana.
And poor Matilda, Matilda!
Your beauty so divine!
your beauty so treacherous
Ohh bloodied Matilda
Careful what you wish for,
You just might get it all!
Book your tickets, ladies and gentleman, this theater piece is a must see!
